In 2011 (i suspect it was the same in 2009), if you draw a wire with one end not connected to anything, it doesn't show an arrowhead unless the connector the other end of the wire is connected to is associated with a circuit. This is long pending issue in revit you can see in image a large ball room with three doors untitled.png. The alternative to home run wiring is the traditional method of daisy chaining that has always been used for electrical and plumbing systems.

My home run arrow that drew that i want to have the arrow on, is blank and will not place an arrow on it.
