I believe the bondrite spray glue is causing the problem. Lepage heavy duty contact cement is also resistant to creep, water, oil, and temperatures up to 70°c. I use the dap weldwood low volatile contact cement that comes from home depot in the green can. Our contact cement dries quickly and bonds on contact, so it eliminates any need for clamping.
